Toward a pan-african historiography.

The Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations (ASCAC) will be holding their second African World History Project Symposium this weekend in Philly. The African World History Project is essentially a project to write a Pan-African historiography -- meaning to me, writing an African-centered narrative of human history from an African-centered style of experiencing, interpreting, and sharing history. The project is the shared dream of intellectual giants such as John Henrik Clarke, Chancellor Williams and Cheikh Anta Diop
